Jersey Umpire officiating at the ICC U19 World Cup

Local umpire, Heath Kearns, is currently in the West Indies as part of the ICC Match Officials team for the ICC U19 World Cup taking place in January and February 2022.

Having previously stood in other ICC events across Europe, this is the first occasion that Heath will have officiated at a major global ICC event. The U19 World Cup is an important fixture in the ICC calendar and has previously seen current stars of world cricket take part with Virat Kohli, Joe Root, Kane Williamson and Steve Smith just to name a few.

Heath has already overseen Sri Lanka v Uganda and Sri Lanka v Scotland with more appointments to come.
