Jersey Cricket Launches Ambitious 3-Year Strategic Plan
Jersey Cricket are delighted to announce the publishing of an ambitious new strategic plan.
Focusing on the next three years, between 2022 and 2025, Jersey Cricket have major plans for developing the sport on the island.
The key themes that will drive Jersey Cricket forward are:
• Establishing fit for purpose facilities
• Developing a high-performance hub
• A renewed club-game focus
• Delivering world class governance
• Developing ‘future reds’ – Women and Men
These themes will be underpinned by enhancing our communications strategy, both internally and externally.
The Board of Directors who have signed off the latest strategy, are understandably excited about the future of Jersey Cricket. John Harris, Chairman said: “I am delighted to commend this refreshed Jersey Cricket strategy to all our stakeholders and to the wider community. We have worked hard as a new Board to establish our key priorities and reinvigorate what cricket in Jersey has to offer to everyone, emphasising wider participation whilst also targeting yet further our international competitive performance in which our success in recent years has done so much to put Jersey cricket on the map in world terms”.
“Not only is our aspiration to enhance this in the men’s game but increasingly to facilitate the same opportunities for our women cricketers in future years. Our development programmes are thriving as they must, to enable our future as Jersey Cricket and attention must be paid to develop our domestic cricket and our playing facilities. These aims and ambitions are all fully recognised and expressed in the Strategy. The Board remains dedicated to the proposition that cricket is a great game providing opportunity and diverse positive experience for all who choose to make it a part of their lives and implementing this Strategy will, we believe, continue to realise that vision.”
